Crafter Spotlight: Magical Ribbons

The seller I’m featuring today has a special spot on our list because she isn’t technically an Etsy seller.  She makes all her own items but sells them through her own website, Magical Ribbons.  I am very lucky that another Etsy seller told me about her shop, so that I was able to find her!

There are lots of Disney inspired hair ribbons on Etsy.  Some are a lot nicer than others.  But Magical Ribbons has some gorgeous, high quality stuff – and there are tons of different options for almost any movie or character you could imagine.  Even the lesser known movies, like the Black Cauldron, are represented. I spent more time than I’d care to admit browsing all of the pretty bows, and imagining which ones I’d get if I had unlimited money!

For this review she was kind enough to send me a Beauty and the Beast inspired bow.  I received the “Makeover Belle Bow,” which was inspired by Belle’s new outfit in the parks – it’s  a bit of a lighter yellow than the bright yellow Belle sports at other times.  The bow itself is of extremely high quality.  It’s very well made, and it’s clear that a lot of detail and care was put into it.

Mine came with a typical french barrette clip, but there are a number of options that you can choose from.  For most styles you can also opt for a pinch clip, bow tie clip, headband, or hair tie.  My hair is extremely thick, and sometimes clips don’t stay very well.  However, with pulling back just a little bit of my hair the french barrette held up well for me.  In the future I’d also like to try the headband and the hair tie styles, to see how those work for my hair.  It’s also another excuse for me to buy another bow in the future!

They’re perfect for a variety of occasions – Halloween, races, just to wear to the parks, or Disney bounding.  I love how many of them are subtle – they capture the feeling of a Disney movie or character, but they’re not over the top in your face obvious.  It’s something you could even wear on a daily basis, and perhaps other Disney fans might pick up on it.

I highly recommend you head to her shop and check out all of the options.  She’s just come out with some new Frozen inspired bows, and I’m in love with them!  I want this frozen bow a lot.  Be warned, though, that her shop is extremely busy – so shipping times can take awhile.  If you’re considering buying a bow for a certain occasion, make sure you order far in advance.  In addition to bows, she also offers a variety of other items – jewelry, customizable Minnie ears, clothing, phone cases, and more.  Check it out today!
